With an experience of over 25 years in guitar playing and singing, Benjamin Liana is a singer/songwriter, musician and a composer of repute. He started to sing and play the guitar at the age of 3. Being versatile, He not only plays the guitar but also the keyboard, bass guitar and drums. During his musical upbringing he has won a number of singing and guitar competitions in his school and college days. He completed his schooling from Nichols High School and college from Don Bosco College, Tura.
He has been associated with a number of bands from North-East India as a guitarist and a vocalist before he established himself as a solo artist and has composed and covered a number of songs which are available on Reverbnation and Soundcloud. He has performed in most parts of the North-East and other parts of the country too. He has also shared the stage with the internationally renowned solo guitarist Neil Zaza who played here in the city recently. Benjamin Liana is also the proprietor and head faculty of Play By Ear School of Music, situated in G.S Road (Hotel Grand Starline). He owes his musical inspiration to his parents who are both from a musical background. His first single “Moving On” is featured in the Art Of Rock Episode-II CD, produced by Froggstomp which was released in 2013. His performances are characterized by on-stage improvisation and virtuoso guitar playing, which is influenced greatly by classic rock, blues and progressive music.

Benjamin is currently working on an instrumental titled Song For Hachiko and a new song titled “Human Beings”, besides a number of projects.
